Kinzinger Highlights Trump’s Pressure on Justice Department at Jan. 6 Hearing

CHICAGO (CBS) – The spotlight is on former President Donald Trump’s campaign to aid justice in his failed attempts to stay in power.

US Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) led the interrogation.

President Trump eventually wanted the Justice Department to say the election was ‘corrupt.’ And, quote, ‘Leave the rest to me and the Republican congressmen.’ The department’s top leadership refused,” Kinzinger said.

Three Justice Department officials in the Trump administration took the witness table.

FBI agents allegedly raided the home of DOJ official Jeffrey Clark on Wednesday.

CBS News confirms that federal investigators issued new subpoenas this week.
