Elon Musk has completely denied allegations of sexual misconduct by a Space X flight attendant, calling her a “far-left actor”.
Elon Musk called the woman who accused him of sexual misconduct a “far-left actor” who “has a big political ax to grind” — and challenged her to verify her claims by describing part of his anatomy “unknown.” to the public”. †
Musk took to Twitter late Thursday, saying the “wild allegations are completely untrue”. The allegations were first reported by Insider†
The tech mogul was accused of exposing herself to a flight attendant aboard one of his private planes in 2016 — and SpaceX later paid the woman $250,000 (A$354,797) to settle her sexual misconduct claim, according to the bomb report.
The New York Post says Musk was also accused of rubbing the flight attendant’s leg without permission and buying her a horse when she gave him an erotic massage on board the plane,Insider reported Thursday, citing documents and interviews.
Hours after they published the story, Musk challenged the accuser’s friend who was said to have been told about the alleged incident shortly after it happened.
Musk tweeted: “But I have a challenge for this liar who claims that their friend saw me ‘exposed’ – just describe one thing, everything (scars, tattoos, …) that is not known to the public.”
“She won’t be able to do that, because it never happened.”
Musk responded on Twitter to a commenter who wondered: “Where were these wild accusations against @elonmusk before he took a stand against the establishment?”
“Exactly,” tweeted Musk, who recently announced his intention to buy Twitter for $44 billion (A$61.3 billion) and take it private.
Musk further described the woman, a former flight attendant and SpaceX employee who worked on his private jet, as a “far-left activist/actor in LA with a big political ax to grind.”
Another Twitter asked Musk if he was responding to Insider’s request for comment, to which the world’s richest person replied: “No, it was clear their only goal was a hit prize. [sic] to disrupt Twitter acquisition. The story was written before they even talked to me.”
Musk was quoted in the original Insider article as saying there’s “a lot more to this story.”
“If I was prone to sexual harassment, this probably won’t be the first time in my entire 30-year career that it’s come to light,” he wrote to Insider. Musk also criticized the news site for publishing a “politically motivated hit piece.”
The alleged incident took place in a cabin aboard one of Musk’s planes during a flight to London.
The flight attendant told a friend that Musk, who also owns Tesla, had asked her to come to his room for a massage during the flight, according to a friend’s statement obtained by Insider†
The statement said that during the massage, Musk “bared his genitals” and then “touched her leg and offered to buy her a horse if she would ‘do more’, referring to engaging in sexual acts,” Insider reported.
The flight attendant, who rides horses, refused and ended the massage without any sexual activity, the statement obtained by: Insider states.
Musk also addressed the allegations in multiple tweets Thursday night, saying they were politically motivated.
“The attacks on me must be viewed through a political lens – this is their standard (despicable) script – but nothing will stop me from fighting for a good future and your right to free speech,” he wrote in one tweet.
“And for the record, those wild allegations are completely untrue,” he added in another tweet.
SpaceX officials declined to comment on the Insider story.
