Plastic beer cups are abolished in waste trial

Plastic beer cups could be a thing of the past in Queensland stadiums if a trial to reduce waste and pollution is successful.

Aluminum and biodegradable options will be considered for six months at select events.

Queensland’s major stadiums use more than 1.5 million single-use plastic cups each year.
