The Ukrainian Refugees Calling Sydney Home – Saturday Breakfast

Two thousand Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Australia and Sydney siders, coordinated by the Ukrainian Council of NSW, are gathering to resettle the families displaced by the war. Many host families and donors (some with no connection to Ukraine) have been moved by the plight of the people to stand up and help. Despite the warm welcome, Mr Mencinsky is concerned about the long-term plans for resettlement, particularly when it comes to navigating the Sydney rental market. In the meantime, the refugees are in great need and any donations to support their resettlement are welcome, including food supplies, clothing, household items and/or money.
